You're stuck with it, unfortunately. The crib and the children's beds are part of the farmhouse's decor once you get the nursery upgrade. No way to toss them out, even if you're going for that minimalist aesthetic.
Actually, I found a sort of workaround. If you really don't want to see the crib, you can use furniture or decorations to block it from view. Not perfect, but it helps if it's really bugging you.
