You gotta terraform! Use your hoe to raise the ground level until the water goes away. It's like playing Viking SimCity!

In my experience, a well-placed trench around your base can redirect the water. So, grab your pickaxe and get diggin'!

You can't really 'remove' water, but you can work around it by raising the ground.
