How to Get Steel in Valheim
You can't get steel directly in Valheim, but you can make something similar called 'black metal'. Black metal is crafted from 'black metal scrap' dropped by Fulings in the plains biome!

There's no steel in Valheim, but the closest you can get is using iron and upgrading your gear. Smash those crypts in the Swamp biome to gather iron scraps!
Iron is the way to go. Hit up those muddy scrap piles in swamp crypts and smelt away. No steel, just iron. Happy forging!
I've played Valheim for hundreds of hours, and while you won't find steel, building your arsenal with black metal or iron still feels epic. Head to the Swamp and Plains biomes for the goodies.
