I’ve found a ton of surtling cores in swamp biomes around fire geysers. Just look out for Surtlings spawning there and farm them!

Head to the Black Forest and look for Burial Chambers. They’re full of skeletons and surtling cores. Just bring a light source and a good weapon!

Honestly, the easiest way is to explore the Burial Chambers in the Black Forest and take out the skeletons there. The cores are just sittin' in the chests and on pedestals.
