If you somehow lose your first sword or need a new one, you can buy one from the Adventurer's Guild or find them in the Mines as loot. The Guild opens after you visit the Mines, so keep that in mind!

Honestly, the first sword you get is more like a slightly sharp object rather than a full-on weapon. Do yourself a favor and upgrade as soon as you can afford it.

Getting your first sword in Stardew Valley is pretty simple! Once you start exploring the Mines for the first time, you'll be greeted by Marlon. He runs the Adventurer's Guild and he'll give you your very first sword to help defend yourself against monsters in the Mines. Just make your way to the Mines after receiving the letter on the 5th day of Spring to trigger this event.

Just head to the Mines after the 5th of Spring, talk to Marlon and boom, sword achieved! ?️ It's your basic starter sword but it gets the job done against early monsters.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
