To get to the Secret Woods in Stardead Valley, you'll need to find the northwest corner of the Cindersap Forest, just west of the Wizard's Tower. There’s a log blocking the entrance, but you can chop it down with a steel axe or better. Once it's chopped, you're free to explore all the hardwood and foraging goodies inside!

Don't bother going to the Secret Woods until you've upgraded your axe. Without that steel axe, you're just going to be staring at that log, wishing it away.

I've been there! The Secret Woods is my go-to spot for hardwood, and those slimes aren't too shabby for farming, either. Just make sure you've got that steel axe, or you'll be left out in the cold.

Quick tip: You absolutely need a steel axe to break the log that's blocking the entrance to the Secret Woods. So, upgrade your axe and head to the west of the Wizard’s Tower. Easy peasy!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!
