It's all about upgrading that axe, folks! Chop down the log blocking the path in the northwest of the forest. Also, keep your eyes peeled for Slimes in there; those guys don't mess around.
To reach the Secret Woods in Stardew Valley, you gotta head to the northwest corner of Cindersap Forest. Look for a big log blocking the entrance - you'll need to upgrade your axe to at least steel level to chop it down and gain access. Inside, you'll find tons of hardwood, forageables, and even a special fish in the pond!
