Go to the in-game settings menu, then the graphics tab. There, you'll find the option to toggle between windowed and full screen.

For me, editing the launch options worked best. Right-click Valheim in Steam, go to Properties, and add `-fullscreen` in the launch options box.

Double-check your resolution settings while you're at it; sometimes the game goes into windowed mode if the resolution's off!
