To grow a mushroom tree in Stardead Valley, you need some forest magic and luck! Just kidding. You actually can't plant one yourself. These unique trees have a chance to sprout on your farm during the fall if you have a sufficiently cluttered area of your farm. Make sure not to clear all the debris and keep some space for the mushroom tree to surprise you!

Mushroom trees don't need a green thumb, they just show up like uninvited but totally welcome party guests in the fall. However, stumps can turn into mushroom trees if you're lucky, so maybe don't clear all of them.

Totally luck-based. You can't plant them. They might just pop up in fall if they feel like it. Clear your calendar and your farm (but not too much), and cross your fingers.
