Craft yourself an Item Stand from a workbench. Once you've done that, equip the trophy and right-click on the stand to hang it.
While in building mode with your hammer, make an Item Stand, then simply attach any trophy from your inventory to it. Easy peasy!
Seriously, just make an Item Stand with some fine wood and nails. You can hang trophies on walls or on the ground. Happy displaying!
Hanging trophies? Overrated. Just dump 'em in a chest. Less work, still cool.
