Closing background apps can seriously help. Your game will run smoother without your browser tabs lurking in the shadows.
Join a server that's geographically closer to you. Less distance = less lag!
Hot take: Maybe stop playing during peak hours. Less traffic means better ping.
Personal experience here! I had the same issue and solved it by tweaking my router settings. Enabling QoS (Quality of Service) made a huge difference for me.
