Joining a local co-op in Starded Valley on your Switch is actually pretty easy! First, make sure all players are on the same local network. One player needs to host the game by opening their farm and selecting 'Co-op' from the main menu. Then, they choose 'Host New Farm' or 'Host Saved Farm' to generate a code. The other players select 'Co-op' from the main menu, choose 'Join Local Game,' and find the host's game listed. Voilà, welcome to the farm life together!

Just start a co-op game from the main menu and have your friends join in locally. Super simple.

In my experience, Stardew Valley local co-op on the Switch is finicky if your WiFi isn't steady. Make sure your connection is solid to avoid dropouts. The person hosting should have a good, stable connection for the best gameplay experience.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
