First off, make sure you’ve got a Nintendo Switch Online membership, cause you'll need that to play online. Then, fire up Stardew Valley on your Switch and from the title screen, choose 'Co-op'. From there, you can either ‘Host’ a new farm or ‘Join’ an existing one using a code if your friend has invited you. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Simply put, get Nintendo Switch Online. Open Stardew, select 'Co-op' and 'Join' a game or 'Host' one. Friends can join you if you host!
