Make sure your friend sets the server to 'Community' so it appears in the server list! Otherwise, you'll need that direct IP address.

Easy peasy! Just start Valheim, create or load your character, and then select the 'Join Game' tab. Look for your friend's server or type in the server name (or IP) and password if required. Boom, you're Vikings together!
