Alright, to join your own Valheim server, just start the game, click 'Start Game', select your character, and then 'Join Game'. You'll see your server there in the community or friends tab. Easy peasy!
First, run the server from the dedicated server option. Then, go to 'Join Game' in Valheim and look for it in the local tab. Bam, you're in!
Honestly, just click 'Start Server' from within Valheim and then 'Join Game'. If you can't see it, your firewall needs adjusting.
