To kill Travis in The Quarry, you need Ryan to stab him during the final confrontation. Just make sure you don't tell Laura about Silas.
For those cold-hearted folks out there, have Laura shoot Travis after finding Silas. Brutal, but effective!
From my playthrough, I had Ryan shoot Travis in the surveillance room scene. Not gonna lie, it was intense!
