Super simple! Just make sure you have enough wood and stone. Open your hammer menu, select the campfire, and place it. Then, use your torch to light it up!

Make sure your campfire's placed on dirt or stone. Once it's built, it lights automatically. Happy cooking and staying warm!

Gather wood (5 pieces) and stone (2 pieces), equip your hammer, go to the crafting menu, select the campfire, and place it on the ground. It'll light itself when placed.
