Honestly, if you can't figure out how to bait a crab pot, maybe fishing isn't for you. Just kidding! Press A with the bait selected while standing near your crab pot. Happy fishing!

Quick tip: Make sure your crab pot is already placed in the water. You can't bait it from your inventory screen or if it's sitting pretty in your backpack.

Oh, the joys of crab potting! To load your crab pot with bait on the Nintendo Switch version of Stardew Valley, simply select the bait in your inventory, then press A while hovering over the crab pot. Make sure you're close enough to the pot or else you'll just be admiring it from afar.

Just grab the bait from inventory, hover over the pot, and press A. If you're not catching anything fancy, it's not the technique; it's just the luck of the draw.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
