How to Load a Slingshot in Stardew Valley on Switch
First things first, open your inventory and make sure you've got some ammo—stones, for a start. Equip the slingshot by selecting it in your inventory. Then, with the slingshot equipped, open your inventory again, pick up the ammo and while holding it, click outside the inventory window to load the slingshot. Now, you're ready to aim and shoot!

Honestly, I spent more time figuring out how to load the slingshot than I did farming my first season. So, here's the deal: equip the slingshot, then open your inventory, grab some rocks (or whatever you're using as ammo) and, with the ammo in hand, click outside the inventory to load it. Took me way too long to figure that out, so hopefully, it saves you some time.
Just drag the ammo to the slingshot in your inventory. It's that simple. No complicated steps or rituals, just drag and drop.
Everyone's talking about rocks, but don't forget you can use other items as ammo too! Experiment a bit. But yeah, inventory -> equip slingshot -> grab ammo -> click outside inventory. Happy slinging!
