From server settings, choose the channel, go to 'Edit Channel' -> 'Permissions', disable 'Send Messages' for @everyone. There you go!
Super easy! Go to your server settings, select the channel you wanna make read-only, then edit the 'Permissions'. Set 'Send Messages' to 'β' for @everyone. Boom, read-only channel!
Click on the channel settings (gear icon), go to 'Permissions', and disable 'Send Messages' for all roles. Simple as that.
Easiest way: Go to channel settings, permissions, and set 'Send Messages' to off for @everyone. All set!
