Honestly, just wing it! Find a coast, build some wooden platforms, and see where it takes you. This is Valheim, not an architectural exam!
Start by selecting a flat coastline, then build a dock out of wood beams and planks. Add a workbench nearby to keep things functional. Don't forget some torches for those foggy Valheim nights!
