You'll first need to get some Black Metal Scraps from Fulings in the Plains biome, then smelt those in a Blast Furnace. Don't forget to stock up on Fine Wood and Linen Thread too. You'll need them at the Forge to make your weapons.

First, you need to beat Moder to get the recipe for Blast Furnace. After that, defeat Fulings in the Plains for Black Metal Scraps and smelt them in the Blast Furnace. Combine the Black Metal with Fine Wood and Linen Thread at a Forge to craft your shiny new Black Metal weapons!

From my Viking ventures, I can tell you that getting Black Metal weapons is a game-changer. Defeat Fulings for Black Metal Scraps, build a Blast Furnace, and smelt those scraps. Add Fine Wood and Linen Thread at the Forge, and you're good to go!
