To upgrade your pickaxe to a copper one in Stardew Valley, first, you gotta gather 5 copper bars. Then, make sure you have 2,000G because Clint, the blacksmith, will need that to do the upgrade. Remember, you won't have your pickaxe for a couple of days, so plan your cave explorations or mining activities around that!

I upgraded my pickaxe to copper and never looked back. It made mining so much easier and faster. Definitely worth the investment. Gathering those copper bars takes a bit, but hitting those rocks in the mines gets you plenty. Plus, the feeling when you can break those big annoying stones on your farm is ?.

Hot take: Just stick with your basic pickaxe. Upgrading is overrated when you can spend that gold on seeds. Who needs copper when you've got cabbages?
