Don't sleep on fishing! It might be a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, fishing can be a steady income source. Those fish really pull their weight in gold.
Farming is your best friend when you're starting out in Stardew Valley! Plant those parsnips you get at the beginning ASAP and keep replanting crops as soon as you harvest. Berries, especially strawberries from the Egg Festival, are a gold mine - plant as many as you can afford!
Foraging is key early on. Scour the town and surrounding areas for wild plants, especially spring onions in the south. They're free and spawn regularly. Sell them for an easy income boost while your crops grow.
Crops are overrated early on. Fishing and foraging provide quicker returns and require less initial investment. Trust me, I made my first 10k without planting a single seed.
