Easy peasy! Just go to User Settings > Appearance > Accessibility and slide the 'Chat Font Scaling' bar to make the text larger. Enjoy!

You can also use Ctrl + + (or Cmd + + on Mac) to zoom in and make everything bigger, including text. Works like a charm!
