How to make Discord know you're playing a game?

In Discord, click the gear icon (User Settings), then navigate to the 'Activity Status' tab and make sure the 'Display currently running game as a status message' is toggled on. It should automatically detect your game.
Enable 'Display currently running game as a status message' in Discord settings, and play your game. Discord's smarter than it looks!
If all else fails, add the game manually! Go to User Settings > Activity Status, and if Discord doesn't recognize your game, click 'Add it!' and select your game from the list.
Just go to the 'Activity Status' settings and toggle it on. Why they buried such a useful feature so deep, I'll never know!
