How to Make Your Own Background in Geometry Dash
Making your own background in Geometry Dash isn't directly possible within the game itself since the backgrounds are part of the game's design. However, creative players get around this by using the level editor to create what looks like a custom background. You can place objects and manipulate them to craft a unique scene or pattern behind the main gameplay area. Think of it like making a mosaic! Start by choosing a theme, then select objects and colors that match your vision. With some patience and creativity, you can make something that feels totally your own.

Just play the game, man. You can't really make a 'background' in the conventional sense. Focus on beating levels instead.
I managed to make a cool 'background' for my level by layering semi-transparent blocks and playing with different opacities. It took a bit of experimenting to get right, but the result is amazing and gives the illusion of depth. Definitely try messing with layers and transparency for unique effects!
