Mining for clay in Stardew Valley is more about digging than mining. You won't find clay in the mines. Instead, grab your hoe and start tilling the soil on your farm or anywhere else you can find dirt. The Beach is a great place because you can till the sand. There's no specific spot that always yields clay, but keep tilling dirt and you'll find some. Rainy days might increase your chances, so don’t miss out on tilling during a downpour!

Quick tip: If you're aiming for clay, your best bet isn't the mines. Just take your hoe and start working on those dirt tiles. Found a lot of mine just messing around on my farm and the river area.

Honestly, you're overthinking it. Just dig up dirt. Clay pops out. Easy.
