Quick tip: The chest has to be empty. Just empty, whack it with an axe, and you're good to move it wherever.

You don't really need to move the chests, just organize better from the start ?

To move a chest in Stardew Valley, first, you gotta make sure it's empty. No way around this鈥攜ou can't move a chest if it's got stuff in it. Empty its contents into your inventory or another chest, then just walk up to it and hit it with your axe. Voila! The chest breaks down, and you can pick it up and place it anywhere you want.

Actually, moving chests is a bit of a pain since you need to empty them first. But honestly, it鈥檚 a small price to pay for reorganizing your farm or house how you like. Once it's empty, just use your axe on it, and pick it up. Easy!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
