Don't forget, you CAN'T move chests if they're full. Learned that the hard way... spent ages trying to figure out why it wouldn't budge. Empty it first, then whack it with an axe or pickaxe. You can then pick it up and move it to your heart's content.
Just hit it with an axe after you empty it. Simple.
