You actually can't open chat in single-player mode on Stardew Valley for the Switch. Multiplayer's where it's at for chatting. Press the right d-pad button in a multiplayer farm to start chatting.

To open chat in Stardew Valley on the Switch, you just need to press the right directional button on the d-pad. This will bring up the chat box, and then you鈥檙e free to type away and communicate with other players in multiplayer mode. Just remember, you need to be in a multiplayer session, as you can't chat in single-player.

Opening chat in Stardew Valley on Switch? Easy peasy, hit the right d-pad button during a multiplayer game. But hey, don鈥檛 forget to be nice! Stardew's all about community, even online.

No built-in chat for single-player, lol. Stardew's about chilling on your farm, not texting.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
