To place a deer trophy in Valheim, just put it on your hotbar, select it, and aim at the item stand or wall where you want to hang it. Then click to place it!

I had trouble too at first! Put the deer trophy in your hotbar, look at where you want to hang it, and left-click. It should snap into place.

Equip the deer trophy like you would any item, aim at the desired location (usually an item stand or wall), and left-click to mount it.
