How to Plant Rice in Stardew Valley
CorrectingGait路8 months agoPlanting rice in Stardew Valley is super easy! First, you need to buy Rice Shoots from Pierre's shop in the Spring. Then, just plant them in your field, but make sure you do it near water. They need to be on tilled soil that's adjacent to water tiles because rice shoots grow better with lots of water. No need to water them though; they get all they need from being close to water!

Don't bother with rice, it's not the most profitable crop. Focus on strawberries or ancient fruit if you're looking to make big bucks in Stardew.
Actually grew rice on my farm last Spring! Just get Rice Shoots from Pierre, plant them close to water, and watch them sprout. Super easy and pretty neat to see them grow without needing to water every day.
To grow rice, you don't plant it like other crops. Buy Rice Shoots during Spring, find a spot right next to water鈥攍ike a pond or river鈥攁nd plant them there. The cool part? They water themselves, so it's less work for you.
