Nope, can't play 2-player without each having the game. So make sure you both buy it first.

To play 2-player in Stardew Valley, you'll need to build a Cabin for your farmhand first. If you're the host, open your game to LAN or invite your friend through Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, or Switch Online. Your friend can join by accepting the invite or joining through the game's menu. Remember, you both need to own the game on the same platform to play together!

Stardew Valley's multiplayer is super fun! Just make sure each player has their own copy of the game, then one of you needs to host the farm and invite the other. You can do this easily through whatever platform you're playing on. Get ready to farm together!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
