How to play local co-op in Stardew Valley on Switch
To play local co-op on Stardew Valley for the Switch, first, both players need a controller. Then from the main menu, select 'Co-op' instead of 'Single Player'. Next, choose 'Local Co-op' and have the second player press start on their controller to join in. Make sure both players are on the same WiFi network if you're not using split Joy-Cons on the same Switch!

Honestly, co-op on Stardew Valley is overrated. Playing solo gives you full control over the farm.
Just hand the second player a Joy-Con, select 'Co-op' on the main menu, and dive into farming together. It's that simple.
