Open the game, go to 'Local' instead of 'Online'. Host a game, and others on the same Wi-Fi can join via 'Find Game'.
I've hosted local games before. Choose 'Local', create a game, and your friends can see it under 'Find Game' if they're on the same Wi-Fi.
Skip the online stuff, just go to 'Local' and create or join a game if you're all on the same network!
Have everyone on the same Wi-Fi, choose 'Local', and someone needs to 'Create Game'. Simple as that!
