How to Please Grandpa in Stardew Valley
CompletingClint·8 months agoHot tip: Grandpa’s really just looking for progress. No need to max out everything. Get those farm earnings up, make some friends, dive deep into the mines, and show him you've got a handle on farm life. Don't sweat it if you're not perfect by the start of Year 3; Grandpa's a pretty understanding guy.

Actually, Grandpa's evaluation isn't the be-all and end-all of Stardew Valley. Enjoy building your farm at your own pace. Yes, pleasing Grandpa can unlock some neat perks, but the real joy is in the journey and making the Valley your own.
Grandpa gave me 4 candles and all I did was fish... like a lot. Apparently, Grandpa respects the chill life too. So, don't stress too much about ticking every box. Enjoy the journey!
Pleasing Grandpa in Stardew Valley is all about showing him you've turned the dilapidated farm into a thriving success! He'll evaluate your farm on the beginning of Year 3, but if you're not ready, you can summon him again with a Diamond at the Shrine of Grandfathers. Focus on earning lots of Gold, upgrading your farmhouse, completing the Community Center (or the Joja Warehouse for the capitalists among us), and reaching the bottom of the Mines. Grandpa loves a well-rounded farmer, so dabble in everything the valley has to offer!
