U can't use tackle with the basic Bamboo Rod, gotta upgrade it first. After that, just select the tackle in your inventory and press A on it while you've got your rod equipped. Voila!

FYI, only the Iridium and Fiberglass Rods can use tackle. Don’t waste your time trying with the starter rod.

First, make sure you've upgraded your fishing rod to either the Iridium Rod or the Fiberglass Rod because the starter Bamboo Pole won't let you attach any tackle. Once you have the right rod, open your inventory, select the tackle, and then press ‘A’ to attach it to your rod. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I've seen some people try for hours to attach tackle to the Bamboo Pole. Don't be like them. Upgrade first!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
