To put a roof on your workbench in Valheim, just craft some wooden beams and wooden panels, then use them to build a simple structure over the bench. Make sure it's at least 2 walls high and covers the entire workbench!
You only need a couple of walls and a roof angle of at least 26 degrees to cover your workbench. Easy peasy!
If you want to quickly throw up a roof, two walls and a 26-degree roof piece will do the trick. Minimal effort, functional result!
I found that using the 26-degree thatch roof in combination with some wooden beams works great! Just make a small hut, and you're done.
