To put the sail down on Xbox, stand at the helm and press the right bumper (RB) to change the sail's direction. Keep tapping RB to adjust between half sail, full sail, or no sail at all!

I've been playing Valheim on Xbox for ages. Simply get to the helm and use RB to bring the sail down. Works every time!

Just press and hold RB when you're at the ship's helm. You'll see the sail go down. Easy peasy!
