If you're looking to restore your Stardew Valley files because you've lost them or they got corrupted, first thing's to check is if you've enabled Steam Cloud (on PC). If you have, Steam might have backed up your save files, and you can easily retrieve them by reinstalling the game or checking the Steam Cloud. Another method is to dive into the game's files on your computer directly. Look for the 'Saves' folder in the '%appdata%/StardewValley' directory. Your save files might still be there, waiting to be restored!

Just load up from your last backup, easy peasy. You do keep backups, right?

For the folks who lost their Stardew Valley saves, it might feel like the end of the world but it's not. Once I thought I lost my entire farm to the abyss, but then realized I had cloud saving enabled on Steam without even knowing. It saved my bacon. Always check your cloud saves first, it鈥檚 like a treasure chest you forgot you buried.

Not to scare anyone, but this is why I email myself a copy of my save file at the end of every gaming session. Paranoid? Maybe. Ready for the apocalypse? Absolutely.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
