For a dedicated server, you鈥檒l need to download the Valheim Dedicated Server tool from Steam. Edit the 'start_headless_server.bat' file with your server name, world name, and password, then run the .bat file. Easy Peasy!
You need to decide if you want a local server or a dedicated one. For a local server, just host a game through the 'Start Game' menu and make sure to check the 'Community Server' option. Boom, your friends can now join!
Just host locally. It's way simpler if you're not tech-savvy.
