If you're running it on a Windows machine, open Task Manager, find the Valheim server process, and end it from there. Works like a charm!

The easiest way? Just type 'save' in the server console to make sure your progress is saved, then hit Ctrl+C to stop the server!

Just press Ctrl+C in the terminal where the server is running. No fuss, no muss.

I always use a script! Create a .bat file with commands to save and then close the server. Double-click it and you're golden.
