Actually, the real challenge is deciding who gets to water the crops and who's diving into the mines. Starting local co-op? Easy. Managing farm duties? Now that's the real game.

Don't overthink it. Just hit 'Co-op,' choose 'Local,' and boom - farming with friends.

Starting local co-op in Stardew Valley is actually pretty straightforward. If you're on PC, one player hosts the game by opening their existing farm or starting a new one and then selecting the 'Co-op' option from the main menu. Once in the Co-op menu, choose 'Host' and then 'Local Co-op' to generate a code your friends can use to join your game. For console players, the process is similar, but you'll navigate through the game's menus to find the 'Co-op' option, then select 'Local' to play with someone on the same device. Remember, everyone wants to pet the dog, so take turns!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
