Make sure you're not trying to stream music from Spotify directly via Discord because that will auto-pause. If you're doing a screen share or something, just play your music on another device or app and keep your mic on mute.

Simply disable the 'Display Spotify as your status' option in Discord's settings under 'Connections.' That usually solves the problem!

As a last resort, turn off the "Automatically determine input sensitivity" in Discord's voice settings. That might help if Discord thinks you're talking over the music.
