You can't actually disable chat entirely in Among Us, but you can just ignore it.

From my experience: go to settings, hit 'Data', and switch off both 'Free Chat' and 'Quick Chat'. It's like turning off the noise in space!

Super easy, you just need to go to the Settings menu, then click on 'Data', and finally toggle off both 'Free Chat' and 'Quick Chat'. Boom, no more chat distractions!
