Just a quick tip: You need to be the host to change the taskbar settings. So if you're not hosting, you might want to ask the host to turn it off for you.

Alright, head into your game lobby, click on the gear icon for settings, and navigate to the 'Game' tab. There, you'll see the 'Taskbar Updates' option. Change it to 'Never' and voila, taskbar begone!
