To unlock the keg in Stardew Valley, you gotta level up your Farming skill to level 8. Once you hit level 8, the crafting recipe for the keg magically appears in your menu. Then, just gather the required materials: 30 wood, 1 copper bar, 1 iron bar, and 1 oak resin, and you're set to start brewing!

Pro tip: Don't rush your farm upgrades and miss the oak trees. You need oak resin for the keg, so make sure you tap some oak trees early on. The keg is a game changer for making money, especially with those artisan goods like wine and pale ale.

Just hit farming level 8. That's it. Short and sweet.

Honestly? The keg is overhyped. Preserve jars are where it's at until you can mass-produce kegs. Diversify early on for steady income.
