To change the background in the Geometry Dash level editor, first, make sure you're in the editor mode for the level you want to edit. Then, click on the BG (background) tab on the right side of the screen. Here, you'll find options to change the background color, add or remove objects, and even animate the background to move or change during the level. Play around with these settings until you find the perfect backdrop for your level!
I think people overcomplicate it. Open the editor, click BG, and start messing around. Can't really mess it up, and it's the best way to learn.
