In Stardew Valley, a silo is super useful for storing feed for your animals. First, you gotta build one by visiting Robin at the Carpenter's Shop. It'll cost ya some resources, but it's worth it. Once you've got your silo up, simply cut grass with your scythe on your farm and it'll automatically turn into hay and get stored in the silo. Check the quantity of hay stored by right-clicking or interacting with the silo!

Build it and they will come...to eat, I mean. Just get Robin to build a silo, whack some grass, and boom, your animals won't go hungry in winter. Easy peasy.

Actually, I barely use my silo. I buy hay directly from Marnie for convenience. But hey, to each their own!

Having a silo saves a lot of gold in the long run. Cut grass after building one and you'll thank yourself in winter. From my experience, it's a game-changer for animal care in Stardew Valley.
